Don't the categories "Total Bench Points" and "Optimal Points" kind of cancel eachother out? One rewards you for scoring lots of points on your bench while the other encourages you to have all of the points generated by your starters. I love the rankings. Love em, but I'm compelled to complain. -El Queso
That is a great question. I think the answer is yes and no. Total Bench points shows the depth of a team. Optimal points shows the strength of the team. For instance, say you have Tom Brady and Peyton Manning at QB. Brady starts and scores 23 pts. Manning scores 18 on the bench. Mannings 18 pts show that you have a great backup...but those points wouldn't be optimal points. The optimal player was Brady. Make sense? I also just kept both to have more categories to judge the teams by. I am open to any ideas you all have of other things to factor in.
