WEEK 2 PREDICTIONS

It is time to predict what will happen in WEEK 2.  Last year the POWER RATINGS correctly picked the winner of 70% of the games...not too bad considering the inexact world of fantasy football.  This year the Blue Ribbon Blog will make picks too!
***After the scoring updates on Thursday, the BUZZCOCKS took sole possession of 2nd place in the Power Rankings.  This is reflected in the predictions, but not updated on the sidebar.

Pretty Boys (#3) at Freemasons (#5)

ALL-TIME SERIES =  Freemasons lead the series 4-2-1

ESPN PICK - PRETTY BOYS

POWER RANKINGS PICK - PRETTY BOYS

EDITOR PICK - PRETTY BOYS
It looks like the Pretty Boys have better match-ups across the board on offense.  The only way the Freemasons win is if their defense carries them like it did in week 1.

Felons (#9) at K-911s (#10)

ALL-TIME SERIES =  Felons lead the series 6-1.

ESPN PICK - FELONS

POWER RANKINGS PICK - FELONS

EDITOR PICK - FELONS
I think that the Felons will win the battle of RBs...and it will be enough to squeak out a win.  A lot of this game will come down to how successful K-911 QB Schaub and RB Foster do...they have the potential to win the game by themselves.

Riggins (#11) at Roommates (#12)

ALL-TIME SERIES =
 Roommates lead the series 1-0.

ESPN PICK - RIGGINS

POWER RANKINGS PICK - RIGGINS

EDITOR PICK - ROOMMATES
I am going out on a limb here.  Riggins looks more explosive on paper, but the Roommates have some good matchups this week.  Also, I think the Roommates defense has a good percentage chance of posting huge numbers.

The Counselor (#1) at Buzzcocks (#2)

ALL-TIME SERIES =
This is the first game in this series.

ESPN PICK - BUZZCOCKS

POWER RANKINGS PICK - COUNSELOR

EDITOR PICK - COUNSELOR
This game is a toss up for me...so I went with the higher rated team in the Power Rankings.  It should be the Buzzcocks game to lose...but Counselor has Jesus Christ (RGIII) and a strong defense.  This game could come down to Reggie Bush vs. BenJarvus Green-Ellis...and I think Bush scores more.

Royale W/Chesse (#4t) at Purple Hurricanes (#4t)

ALL-TIME SERIES =
 Hurricanes lead the series 4-2.

ESPN PICK - HURRICANES

POWER RANKINGS PICK - HURRICANES

EDITOR PICK - HURRICANES
I hate ever picking against the Cheese, but I just don't think this is their week.  The Hurricanes have great match-ups and homefield advantage...I think the Canes win in a shootout.

Soup Can (#8) at Fluffernutter (#7)

ALL-TIME SERIES =
 Fluff lead the series 4-3.

ESPN PICK - FLUFF

POWER RANKINGS PICK - FLUFF

EDITOR PICK - SOUP
The Soup Can need this win to keep pace with the Freemasons.  And no one circles the wagons like Chris Bell and the Soup Can.  I think the Fluff make this game very, very interesting though.  The defending champs will not go down easily to anyone...but I think they fall in this game by less than five points.
