TOP OFFENSES!

With the trade deadline approaching, we here at the Blue Ribbon Blog will be diving deep into the stats to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each team.
Today we start with Offense and Defense.  It would take forever to write about all of the teams, so we will write about the top 3 and bottom 3.

SCORING OFFENSE

The Top 3:

1. FLUFFERNUTTER
POINTS:  The Fluff have scored 677 of their 1099 points on offense (61.6%)

The Fluff are a perfect example of an explosive and deep offense.  They have the top Running Back duo in the league (Adrian Peterson #2 in RB scoring and Ray Rice #3 RB), as well as the top scoring Wide Receiver of the year (Brandon Marshall).  Their only weakness on offense has  been the Quarterback position where they rank 9th...even though they have scored in double digits at the position all season.

1. HURRICANES
POINTS:  The Hurricanes have scored 677 of their 1059 points on offense (63.93%)

The Hurricanes finished week 9 tied for Scoring Offense.  The are very well balanced on offense, as they rank in the top 5 of all four categories (#2 QB/ #4 RB/ #4 WR/ #1 TE).  The strong season from Marshawn Lynch, as well as the continued success of Drew Brees and Rob Gronkowski have carried the Hurricanes squad.

3. FELONS
POINTS: The Felons have scored 648 of their 1117.5 points on offense (57.99%)

The Felons have received great stats this season at Quarterback from the never-aging Tom Brady.  WRs Roddy White and Vincent Jackson have exceeded expectations and have the Felons as the second best WR scoring team.  The re-emergence of TE Jason Witten helped move the team into the third spot, barely edging the Royale w/ Cheese.

The Bottom 3:

10. FREEMASONS
POINTS: The Freemasons have scored 538 of their 1032.5 points on offense (52.11%)

The Freemasons have struggled across the board on Offense.  Their top performing position are the WRs who rank 7th in the league.  QB Cam Newton has struggled to maintain consistent scoring, and the RBs are not much better.  The Freemason RBs have scored in single digits 10 out of 18 times this season.

11. PRETTY BOYS
POINTS: The Pretty Boys have scored 536 of their 1040 points on offense (51.54%)

The Pretty Boys have scored the smallest percentage of points on the offensive side of the ball.  In fact, coming into week 9, the boys from Goodview were the only team that had their defense OUTSCORING their offense!  It is not all bad news though...the Pretty Boys have the second best running back stable in the league.  Rookies Doug Martin and Trent Richardson and veteran Willis McGahee have performed much better for the team than the rest of the offense.  The QB/WR/ & TE spots all rank 11th in the league.

12.  COUNSELOR
POINTS:  Counselor has scored 498 of their 923 points on offense (53.95%)

Counselor is the lone team to not have scored 500 pts on offense.  In fact, compared to the two teams with the best offenses, Counselor scores 19.8 points a game less on offense.  Even against the league average, Counselor is giving up 9+ points per game.  There is one bright light though, as Robert Griffin III has Counselor ranked #3 at QB.

Final thoughts on OFFENSE...
The top teams have scored so much that only five teams have exceed the league average...the three here and the CHEESE and SOUP CAN.
